I offer a range of counseling modalities to support individuals in achieving mental well-being and personal growth. I provide a safe and nurturing environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I work with individuals, couples, and families — tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each person, ensuring that they receive personalized care and support on their journey to mental health.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, addiction, or something harder to name, I am here to help. Counseling is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is the care you'll find here.

Life can be heavy — and sometimes the most courageous thing you can do is ask for help carrying it. Individual counseling gives you a dedicated space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and begin to move toward something better. Whether you're navigating a specific crisis or a quiet sense that something needs to change, I'll meet you exactly where you are. I use evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) — see the FAQ section for more on how these work and which might be right for you.
Anxiety, depression & suicidal ideation
Grief and loss, including anticipatory grief
Chronic pain, illness and other health challenges including cancer & traumatic brain injury
Prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum transitions

Perfectionism and work-related stress

Relationships are some of the most meaningful — and most demanding — parts of our lives. Whether you're trying to find your way back to each other, prepare for a new chapter, or navigate a relationship in crisis, I'll meet you where you are. I work with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) — going beneath the conflict to what's actually driving it. I am working toward full certification in EFCT.
Premarital discernment, including the Prepare & Enrich program
Strengthening marriage and rebuilding after conflict
Sex and pornography addiction and its impact on relationships
Divorce and relationship loss

Family relationships hold some of our deepest love — and some of our most complicated pain. I work with families navigating conflict, transition, and disconnection, helping them build stronger communication and find their way through hard seasons together.
Parenting challenges
Blended families and co-parenting
Single parenting
Family transitions and life changes

Sex and pornography addiction can affect every area of life — relationships, self-image, faith, and family. It's one of the most isolating struggles someone can carry, often in secret and often with deep shame. I am an ASAT Candidate with specialized training to support individuals and couples navigating this with clinical insight, sensitivity, and without judgment.
Impact on marriage and relationships
Betrayal trauma for partners
Impact on work and professional life
Working through shame and restoring a healthy sense of self
Faith-based recovery support

For many people, faith isn't separate from their struggles — it's woven into them. Questions of vocation, wounds from religious experience, or the weight of living out a commitment can be just as real as any other source of pain. As a practicing Catholic who works with people of all backgrounds and denominations, I understand the unique intersection of faith and mental health — and I know how to hold both with care.
Tribunal case support and annulment process
Counseling for religious and clergy
Vocational and life discernment
Faith-related anxiety and scrupulosity
Religious trauma and wounds from church experience

For those living outside Texas or looking for support outside traditional counseling, I offer three ways to work together.
Therapeutic coaching blends practical skills, emotional support, and action planning for goal-oriented work.
Mentoring provides guidance through life transitions — parenting, marriage, widowhood, career — drawing on both lived experience and clinical training.
Consulting supports organizations, schools, and nonprofits on program development and family engagement.
Let peace be your quest and aim.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing counseling for yourself can sometimes feel like an internal tug-of-war and that's not necessarily a bad thing! In fact, that inner conflict often reflects a growing awareness that something in your life deserves attention, care, and space to be explored.
If you've ever found yourself needing to "talk something through," you may be someone who processes internally. Counseling provides a safe place to give voice to those thoughts, gain perspective, and discover new insights that can be difficult to reach on your own.
If you're someone who naturally processes out loud, counseling offers the opportunity to think through life's challenges with a neutral, compassionate professional who is trained to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you move toward greater clarity and healing.
Regardless of how you process, the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important factors in successful counseling. Research consistently shows that feeling heard, understood, and supported within a trusting relationship can be a powerful catalyst for growth and lasting change.
If you're interested in learning more, here's a helpful resource from the National Library of Medicine that explores the science behind why the therapeutic relationship is so effective.

Our first session is 90 minutes — a little longer than a regular session to give us time to get to know each other. We'll review consent, confidentiality, and practice policies, and begin to explore what brings you in and what you're hoping to work toward. There's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive.
-
While not required, I recommend a 90-minute first session to give us enough time to get to know each other — billed at my standard hourly rate for 90 minutes of therapy time. If a 90-minute slot isn't showing as available in the portal, please reach out directly and I'll find a time for you. Ongoing sessions are 55 minutes at $145. Parent meetings are 40 minutes at $75. A limited number of sliding scale slots are available — reach out to ask.
I am an out-of-network provider. At the end of each month I can provide a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I'd recommend checking with your provider before we begin. I accept credit card, debit card, HSA, and FSA payments.

Sessions are 55 minutes. I recommend weekly sessions for the first 8 sessions to grow in the therapeutic relationship and for you to gain traction in your insight and self-discovery. From there, we can look at what would be the best frequency of therapeutic care. Just as caring for our physical health requires daily attention, caring for our mental and emotional well-being also deserves intentional investment. While self-care can take many forms, dedicating time to your mental health through a weekly therapy session is a meaningful and effective place to begin.
From there, we'll figure out together what frequency makes the most sense for you. As for how long the process takes — it depends on what you're working through and what your goals are. Some people find significant relief in a few months; others benefit from longer-term work. Therapy should always be moving toward something, not just continuing by default. -
I have specialized clinical training in trauma, sex and pornography addiction, couples therapy, and suicidality — and I use evidence-based approaches including EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to treat them.
For clients navigating suicidal ideation, I am trained in the CAMS framework (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) — a patient-centered approach backed by 40+ years of research in which you become the co-author of your own treatment plan. CAMS is proven to resolve suicidal ideation in as few as six sessions.
Beyond these core areas, I also work with grief and loss, chronic illness, anxiety and depression, prenatal and postpartum transitions, divorce, religious life, and complex family dynamics.
If you're not sure whether what you're carrying fits, reach out — we'll figure it out together.

Licensed counseling is psychotherapy — it involves the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions and is only available to clients physically located in Texas. If you live outside Texas, we may be able to work together through a mentoring relationship instead. Mentoring focuses on support, encouragement, practical guidance, and accountability — it is not therapy and does not involve diagnosis or treatment. We'll discuss your goals together to determine which is the right fit.

Both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) are evidence-based approaches, but they serve different purposes.
EMDR is best if you're feeling stuck because of traumatic memories, anxiety, or negative beliefs about yourself that won't shift no matter how hard you try. It helps the brain reprocess painful experiences so they lose their grip on your present life. It may be especially beneficial if you're struggling with:
Trauma or PTSD
Anxiety or panic
Grief and loss
Negative beliefs about yourself that won't shift
Patterns that feel impossible to break
EFT is best if you're struggling with emotional disconnection — in your relationships or within yourself. It helps you understand and express your emotions in ways that build safer, more secure connections.
Many people benefit from both. EMDR and EFT are often integrated because healing often involves both processing the wounds of the past and building healthier emotional connections in the present.
For example:
An individual may use EMDR to process childhood trauma that contributes to anxiety or shame.
Then, EFT can help them understand how those past experiences influence current relationships and develop more secure, authentic ways of connecting with others.
If you're not sure which fits your situation, that's exactly what our first session is for.

That's entirely up to you. I am a practicing Roman Catholic and my faith is central to who I am — but I work with people of all backgrounds and denominations, and I follow your lead. If faith is important to you, we can weave it in. If it isn't, we won't. What matters most is that you feel respected and at home in the room.

Yes. Everything shared in session is confidential, with a few legal exceptions — situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or a court order. The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors require counselors to:
Explain confidentiality and its limits during informed consent.
Securely maintain client records.
Protect electronic communications and records.
Follow applicable state and federal privacy laws, including HIPAA when applicable.
We'll review all of this together during your first session so you know exactly where you stand.
